About us

PowerLab400 collects technical articles, guides and tools for IBM i and AS/400. The content comes from daily work on these systems and is gathered here to be available when needed.

Topics cover RPG programming, SQL on Db2 for i, the CL language and system administration. Where relevant, each article includes the code or commands needed to reproduce what is described.

The site also provides utilities that run entirely in the browser: conversion between the date formats used on IBM i, reading of packed and zoned numbers, EBCDIC conversion and searchable reference lists. They require no installation and processing happens on the device in use.
