RNQ0112 Date, time or timestamp not valid

RPG status code
00112 Invalid Date, Time or Timestamp value.

Most common cause

%DATE, %TIME, %TIMESTAMP or MOVE on a value that is not a valid date in the given format. Classic with numeric dates of zero or 99999999.

Other causes

  • Wrong format in the conversion (*YMD instead of *ISO, different separators).
  • Two-digit-year formats (*YMD, *MDY, *DMY) used outside 1940-2039 (then the status is 00114).

How to fix it

Check first with TEST(DE) and the right format, or use MONITOR. Handle conventional values such as 0 explicitly.
