Most common cause
An attempt to update a view column derived from an expression, a constant or a special register.
Other causes
- A logical file field defined as input only in the DDS.
- An INSERT without a column list on a view with non-updatable columns.
How to fix it
Remove the column from the list or the SET, and update the source column on the base table.
