What it brought
- The first AS/400e models with 64-bit RISC PowerPC AS processors are announced in June 1995
- Thanks to the TIMI interface, programs saved on a CISC AS/400 are restored on RISC and run as 64-bit, without recompiling
- RPG IV: prototyped procedures, return values, local variables and integer types
