CPF502B Error in trigger program

Most common cause

The trigger program attached to the file failed, and the I/O operation is cancelled.

Other causes

  • The trigger program cannot be found, or the user is not authorized to run it.
  • The trigger writes to files that are not journaled while the job runs under commitment control.

How to fix it

The real error is in the job log, just before CPF502B. DSPFD TYPE(*TRG) shows the file's triggers: fix the trigger program or its authority.
