Most common cause
Another job holds a lock that conflicts with the requested operation (ALCOBJ, DLTF, CLRPFM).
Other causes
- The same job has the object open elsewhere (activation group still active).
- A save in progress.
How to fix it
WRKOBJLCK shows who holds the lock. In CL use MONMSG CPF9803 with a wait and a retry, or raise ALCOBJ's WAIT parameter.
