Most common cause
The column is not in any table in FROM: a typo, or a column from another table or another view.
Other causes
- A name in double quotes, which becomes case-sensitive.
- A string written in double quotes instead of single quotes: "ABC" is a column name, not text.
- A SELECT column alias used in the WHERE of the same level.
How to fix it
Read the real names from the catalog (QSYS2.SYSCOLUMNS): the message names only one, and not always the first wrong one. Use single quotes for text; to use an alias in WHERE, move the query into a CTE.
