SQL0913 Row or object in use
- IBM message text
- Row or object &1 in &2 type *&3 in use.
- SQLCODE
- -913
- SQLSTATE
- 57033
Most common cause
Another job holds a lock on the row or table, and the wait time runs out. When the system knows, the message names the job holding the lock.
Other causes
- Long transactions without COMMIT holding locks on updated rows.
- Another job has the table allocated exclusively (saves, RGZPFM, ALTER TABLE).
- Another cursor in the same application holds the row.
How to fix it
WRKOBJLCK shows who holds the lock. Commit more often, and choose a suitable isolation level.
