What it brought

  • All 270 and 8xx models move to PCI I/O: on the 8xx cards can be added and replaced with the system running
  • OS/400 licences are managed across partitions: it is paid once for the whole system
  • Operations Navigator manages disks and ASPs with wizards, up to 2000 units
  • Manuals in PDF format

Which machines it runs on

  • Every iSeries 400; on the 8xx each partition must be at V4R5
